Well – we made it back to Canada. 🇨🇦
Alive. Slightly tired. Spiritually stretched. And still wondering how we packed that much stuff into the vehicle.

We crossed the border on April 11, 2026—and honestly? It was suspiciously easy. No drama, no interrogation, no “step out of the vehicle, please.” Just a breeze. We were almost disappointed. After all that mental preparation, we were ready for at least a little excitement. But nope—God said, “Let’s keep this one simple.”

“The Lord himself goes before you and will be with you.” — Deuteronomy 31:8

Yes- even at the border crossing. Even in those small, ordinary moments, God is already ahead of us, making the path smoother than we expected.

We spent a few days in Vancouver, which felt like a gentle transition back into Canadian life—aka slightly cooler weather and people apologizing again (we missed that). It gave us a moment to pause, breathe, and reflect on how far we’ve come already.

Then we headed to Revelstoke, BC, where things got really interesting.

Remember how people say, “Kindness comes back around”? Well, apparently it does—because the hotel owner we met back in 2023 remembered us and gave us a free night.

A. Free. Night.

We checked our emails to make sure it wasn’t a mistake. It wasn’t. There was breakfast included, a comfortable place to rest, and zero complaints from us. Honestly, we were just trying not to look too excited.

“Give, and it will be given to you… pressed down, shaken together and running over.” — Luke 6:38

Running over like free hotel nights, apparently. God has a way of surprising us when we least expect it. From there, we drove through the mountains from BC to Alberta—and wow. If you ever need a reminder that God is an artist, just drive that route. Mountains, forests, endless beauty, and we’re trying to take photos that absolutely do NOT do it justice.

“For since the creation of the world God’s invisible qualities… have been clearly seen.” — Romans 1:20

Translation: God shows off sometimes. And honestly? We’re here for it.

Then we arrived in Calgary. Cue the mission.

We’re here to begin ministry and fundraising across Canada, and if you’re wondering whether God is opening doors—the answer is a very clear yes. The Deaf community here welcomed us in such a genuine and powerful way.

We listened, we shared, we encouraged—and somewhere in the middle of it all, something meaningful happened. You could feel it. Those moments remind us why we’re doing this in the first place.

“Therefore encourage one another and build each other up.” — 1 Thessalonians 5:11

And that’s exactly what’s happening—one conversation, one connection, one step at a time.

Now, let’s be honest—fundraising for a few months across Canada? That’s going to be an adventure all on its own. There will be coffee. Lots of it. Probably some unexpected moments. Definitely stories we’ll laugh about later (or cry first… then laugh).

But this is where God is leading. And when He leads, you go—even if it means long drives, changing weather, and learning to trust Him in every little detail.

So here we are. Back in Canada. Slightly road-weary, very grateful, and ready for whatever comes next.

Stay tuned… because if this trip has taught us anything, it’s this: God’s plans are never boring.
